The Lower Eastside Girls Club has been “Opening Doors, Empowering Women, and Building Community Girl by Girl” since 1996.
The Lower Eastside Girls Club amplifies the inner power of young women and gender-expansive youth in New York City through our free, year-round innovative programs in STEM, Arts, Digital Media and Sound, Wellness, Civic Engagement, and Leadership.
Growing Together
Lower Eastside Girls Club are key collaborators on Growing Abolition who have been working with sumell and PS1 since the summer of 2021. Their everchanging bed will have various plants that can be used for making tea, ultimately becoming part of the Abolitionist’s Tea Party. The Lower Eastside Girls Club (LESGC) supports young women and gender-expansive youth of color throughout New York City in leveraging their inner power to shape a better future for themselves, their community, and the world. Located in the Lower East Side, known for its vibrant community gardens, gardening is an important part of LESGC’s work.
